Oboe Reed Case with Hygrometer, 20 Oboe Reed Case, Humidity Control

If you're looking for a more effective and precise way of controling how little your reeds change, this may be the reed case for you.  The built-in hygrometer displays the humidity of the inside of the reed case.  This works great to prevent your reeds from drying out too quickly or too much which is the number one reason reeds can change so dramitically from day to day.  Many oboists like to combine this type of reed case with a humidity pack, all sealed in a zip-loc storage bag in an effort to maintain a constant moisture level.  In my experience, a humidity reeding of 65-75% seems to work well.  Too much more than that could result in moldy reeds from them not drying out enough.
Note: this reed case does not have any built-in features to alter the moister content in your reed case, only a tool to measure it.
