    SECTION VII – PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE Steps To Be Taken In Case Material Is Released Or Spilled: Isolate spill or leak area immediately. Keep unauthorized personnel away. Stay upwind. Keep out of low areas. Ventilate closed spaces before entering. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Stop leak if you can do it without risk. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during cleanup. Small Spills: Absorb with earth, sand or other non-combustible material and transfer to containers for later disposal. Large Spills: Dike and recover liquid for disposal. Surfaces may become slippery after spillage.
    Directions and Dosage Instructions
    DISINFECTION - For disinfecting, add 1 ounce of Vet and Kennel Disinfectant to one gallon of water. Apply this solution with a mop, cloth, sponge, hand pump trigger sprayer, or low pressure coarse sprayer so as to wet all surfaces thoroughly. Allow surfaces to remain wet for 10 minutes and then let air dry. BACTERICIDAL ACTIVITY - When used as directed, Vet and Kennel Disinfectant demonstrates effective disinfectant activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Salmonella schottmuelleri, Salmonella choleraesuis, Streptococcus faecalis, Shigella dysenteriae, Enterobacter aerogenes and Staphylococcus aureus. When used as directed, this formulation is an effective disinfectant against Pseudomonas aeruginosa in animal hospitals and laboratories. At 4 ounces per gallon or equivalent dilution rate (2812 ppm (mg/L) active quat), Vet and Kennel Disinfectant is effective against Bordetella bronchiseptica (causative agent of bacterial Kennel Cough) on hard, non-porous environmental surfaces. *VIRUCIDAL ACTIVITY - When used at the 1 ounce to one gallon or equivalent dilution rate (703 ppm (mg/L) active quat), this product exhibits effective virucidal activity on inanimate, hard, non-porous surfaces against Canine Distemper virus, Pseudorabies virus, Vaccinia virus. Influenza A2, Herpes Simplex Type 1, Adenovirus Type 2, Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV), Norovirus (Norwalk Virus), and Feline Calicivirus (FCV). At 4 ounces per gallon or equivalent dilution rate (2812 ppm (mg/L) active quat), Vet and Kennel Disinfectant is effective against the following viruses on hard non-porous environmental surfaces: Canine Parvovirus (CPV), Canine Adenovirus (causative agent of Infectious Canine Hepatitis), Canine Parainfluenza Virus (causative agent of viral Kennel Cough), Feline Panleukopenia (Feline Parvovirus), Feline Rhinotracheitis (causative agent of Feline Herpes virus Infection), Feline Picornavirus and Porcine Parvovirus. Excess material should be wiped up or allowed to air dry. For pet odors: Use on carpets, floors, walls, tile, cages, pet beds, litter boxes, mats, floor coverings, area rugs or any surface soiled by a pet. Test a small inconspicuous area first. Immerse all ropes and other types of equipment used in handling and restraining animals as well as forks, shovels, and scrapers used for removing litter. Ventilate buildings and other closed spaces. Thoroughly clean all surfaces with soap or detergent and rinse with water. Use 4 ounces of Vet and Kennel Disinfectant per gallon of water. Saturate surfaces with the disinfecting solution for a period of 10 minutes. Ventilate buildings, coops and other closed spaces.     Storage and Disposal Requirements
    Waste Disposal Method: Do not discharge effluent containing this product into lakes, streams, ponds, estuaries, oceans or other waters unless in accordance with the requirements of a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit and the permitting authority has been notified in writing prior to discharge. Do not discharge effluent containing this product to sewer systems without previously notifying the local sewage treatment plant authority. For guidance, contact your State Water Board or Regional Office of the EPA.. Precautions To Be Taken In Handling And Storing: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash thoroughly after handling. Wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking, or using toilet facilities. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. As with all chemicals, good industrial hygiene practices should be followed when handling this material. Avoid freezing or excessive heat. PESTICIDE STORAGE: Store in a dry place no lower in temperature than 50°F or higher than 120°F. DO NOT CONTAMINATE WATER, FOOD OR FEED BY STORAGE OR DISPOSAL.
